Pat
Murphy:
Owner
and Manager Born and raised in New York, Pat began playing piano "by ear" at the age of 5, picked up the guitar shortly afterwards and went on to form his first garage band by age 11. The construction of The Sound Palace represents the fulfillment of a life-long dream and Pat oversees all studio operations. As a musician and an audio engineering graduate, he is uniquely qualified to provide creative direction for artists. Pat continues to play in a classic rock cover band and regularly operates a mixing console at one of the local mega-churches. |

Steve Katz:
Associate Producer The Founder of Eventide Electronics, Steve Katz also transformed Dolby Labs into Dolby 5.1. Steve started in radio in the 60’s in New York and moved into studio work almost immediately, first as a maintenance engineer, then a mixer, then with his own studio. In his long career, Steve has worked with legendary producer Phil Ramone, and such artists as Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, Ike and Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Barry Manilow , Wilber Harrison, Bo Didley, McKendree Spring, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ramsey Lewis, and Shirley Scott. He went on to design studios for numerous icons in the music world and worked in sound design for Oscar winning films. Danny Langa: Staff Engineer Danny Langa has been engineering and playing music for over 10 years. Aside from his love of sound, Danny also has a genuine passion for film. After graduating from UCLA and attending the UCLA Recording Engineering Program, he attempted to combine all of his loves into a successful career. Currently, he works with film audio in several capacities; as a sound designer, re-recording mixer, and a production mixer. In addition to film, Danny continues to feed his love of music by recording and mixing albums in many styles and genres, including rock, indie, hip hop, pop, and jazz. First and foremost, Danny loves the way that different sounds are created and is always excited by new opportunities to create. His calm demeanor provides a comfortable studio environment for recording artists who truly appreciate his ability to capture and produce "their sound." |
